Papua New Guinea – Message of the Son, Power of the Sun, and You…What do these things have in common?

by | Apr 16, 2015

Papua New Guinea, Melanesia South Pacific Field:   There is excitement in the highlands as the Rural Health Services program of Nazarene Health Ministries, takes yet another step toward sharing the news of God’s Son to the people of the Highlands.

Injured must be carried for miles to medical care.

Injured must be carried for miles to medical care.

The Highlands of Papua New Guinea represent some of the most remote places on earth.  Many of the people living in these areas are reached only by aircraft, hours upon hours of driving over treacherous roads, or by  many hours of hiking across rugged mountain trails.   Regular access to medical care has been, for many years, difficult if not impossible for those living in the Highlands.

Solar Power brings life saving electricity to Highlands.

Nazarene Health Ministries is bravely taking the message of the love of Christ to these remote areas through a tangible demonstration of Christian compassion.

A new solar project is currently underway, which will bring much needed electricity to remote clinics, providing for emergency lighting and vaccine refrigeration.

These clinics, which are seeing thousands of patients each year, are staffed by nursing officers who have been trained at our Nazarene College of Nursing in Kudjip.  Their educational program has trained them not only in the skills of medicine, but also provided them with the spiritual and theological training necessary to be effective ministers of the Gospel within the communities where they are living and serving.

Holistic Community Transformation is taking place.

This effective and kingdom impacting ministry is in need of partners who can help with the solar project.   Has God given you a heart for those who live in remote areas of the world?  Would you be able to partner with us in bringing the much needed electrical resources to these remote areas?

The solar power of the Sun, is helping us share the message of God’s Son.  Now all that is missing is YOU.

Please follow this link to partner with us in sharing the Son!
