IT Missions Team Boosts INTC’s Future with Smart Classroom and Internet Upgrade

by | Jun 5, 2025

This collaborative project between Indonesia Nazarene Theological College, Sealands Field, Asia-Pacific Resource Center, and Global Missions IT was initiated based on the needs of the campus in the era of global education, where institutions must be creative, innovative, and collaborative to provide increasingly high-quality theological education for both the Nazarene community and external stakeholders. This effort also ensures greater effectiveness in reaching souls, aiming to prepare students from various nations, which serves as a big vision driving the importance of this project.

The internet connection at INTC has significantly improved. Students who experience faster and more stable internet also appreciate how effective and efficient their work becomes with a strong internet connection. Lecturers and administrative staff value the advantages of a reliable internet connection.

During the project, the campus seized this opportunity to strengthen its engagement with the Church of the Nazarene’s vision. Several youths involved in media services at local churches, along with students who have interests and skills in IT, participated in both the installation work and the design of SmartClass. This ultimately became a way to mentor and share visions that are expected to broaden the younger generation’s perspective on the mission’s future direction.

Through informal sessions like meals, tours, visits to local churches, and daily conversations, the team was invited to gain a deeper understanding of Indonesian culture. The project concluded with a Cultural Night, during which students showcased their regional culture through dance, singing, and traditional costumes. This Cultural Night also featured the inauguration of the Smart Class, organized by three study programs: the Theology Study Program, the Christian Religious Education Study Program, and the Master of Theology Study Program.

Dr. Seri Damarwanti, INTC President, shared, “To be honest, the campus doesn’t have a lot of resources to do this project. But personally, as a leader on campus, I don’t want to be stuck on the same old problems, and with the strength that God has given me, I invited my colleagues on campus to take steps of faith. Dare to move and make choices. There are definitely risks; the implications are before our eyes. However, with careful planning and calculation, we finally agreed to move forward and complete what God has placed in our hearts. One of the verses that strengthens me in the struggle of this project is James 1:17 (NKJV): Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with him there is no variation or shadow due to change. Hopefully, with increasingly better IT facilities, the vision of INTC, The Church Globally, can also be realized effectively. The Lord Jesus is increasingly glorified on our beloved campus.”
