Iloilo, Philippines: Panay District hosted a discipleship training held in Culasi Church of the Nazarene on 15 November 2024. This event was attended by 76 members from 22 different churches across Panay District. Andy Tambongco and Ron Reyes from the Philippine-Mircrosnesia Field led this training, which shared the importance of discipleship in local churches.
The participants were taught how to start discipleship groups in their local churches. Rev. Ron Reyes led an insightful session on effectively leading and managing small groups within the local church. He emphasized how important small groups are in fostering spiritual growth and how small groups build genuine relationships with others. He also included methods for organizing small group gatherings. Rev. Andy Tambongco delivered a session about the foundational principles of discipleship. He highlighted that our relationship with Christ is not only for our own good but also a calling to share the word with others.
The Panay District Church of the Nazarene members were challenged to obey and be part of the mission of making Christlike disciples in their communities. They will go back to their local churches with a new perspective, renewed spirit, and equipped to start connecting with their communities and start a discipleship group. Pray for this 76 disciplemakers that they will start the multiplication of disciples in their local church, district and throughout the Philippines
