 Perfect Rhythm

APNTS Thursday August 8, 2013

More than 50 young adults involved in NYI from across three districts of the Philippines, met together at APNTS on Saturday, August 3rd, for a conference focused on impacting youth through radio ministry.Engaged Youth

Organized by the Philippine Field Communications Coordinator Emily Bolinas and Perfect Rhythm Radio Host Jordan Escusa, the special focus was on how NYI could partner with our current radio ministries, specifically Perfect Rhythm.Emily Bolinas

During the conference, special presentations were given by the Philippine-Micronesia Field Strategy Coordinator, Stephen Gualberto, as well as the Asia-Pacific Regional Communications Coordinator, Todd Aebischer.  The “Studio Backpack” a project of World Mission Broadcast, was presented as a method of preparing radio broadcasts and podcasts from remote locations, avoiding the necessity of purchasing expensive recording studio time.Stephen Gualberto

The conference went beyond just presenting the radio ministry; participants were engaged in choosing an area for participation, joining in a focus group, and preparing an action plan for becoming not just merely “hearers of the word” but effective “doers.”Small Groups

“It was exciting to see the NYI of our district really embracing the ministry of Perfect Rhythm.  In particular, demonstrating ownership and their willingness to be involved in different areas where they can serve the young people, through prayer, writing, coordination, promotion, research and of course, follow up,” stated Emily Bolinas at the conclusion of the event.

Jordan EscusaPerfect Rhythm is a ministry of World Mission Broadcast in conjunction with Far East Broadcasting Company, and has been touching youth throughout the Philippines for more than nineteen years.  The format includes contemporary Christian music intermixed with dynamic teaching by Jordan Escusa, who is also the Nazarene Youth Pastor at Taytay First Church of the Nazarene.  With the advent of modern technology, radio listeners are checking in via social media from as far away as the west coast of the United States.  Strategy Sessions
