Kalimantan District sets vision for future growth

by | Jul 19, 2024

Central Kalimantan, Indonesia: The Kalimantan District held a District Strategic Planning Meeting in Palangkaraya from June 17 to 19, 2024. This meeting is initiated and facilitated by the Sealands Field led by Stephen Gualberto, Field Strategy Coordinator.

The District Advisory Council which includes the district superintendent, district advisory board, pastors and essential ministries coordinators (NYI, NDI, NMI) identified the strengths, opportunities and goals and actions that the district would like to achieve both short-term and long-term. They also discussed about the existing difficulties and the possible solutions to these challenges. They also committed to bringing the Kalimantan District from Phase 1 to Phase 2 district in the next two years. Creative games were also held during the activity to build relationships and strengthen togetherness.

Dwi, the NYI District President and NCM Coordinator for the Kalimantan District, is grateful for this activity. Dwi said, “We are blessed. With this activity, now we know what the district should do to grow to phase 2.”

Moreover, Mrs. Agnes (a pastor from the local church) said, “We welcome this new teaching and knowledge about the strategy of how we do ministry from now on through the power of the Holy Spirit. We will form a team and involve the leaders and the congregations who want to work together for discipleship and church development. What is very interesting is that we can create a ministry plan for children and teenagers, too. This will be very fun for children because they must get clear guidance. Our souls and hearts are burning to carry out this ministry strategy as soon as possible.”

Praise God for every plan, longing, and progress in the Kalimantan District. Please pray for more ministry opportunities and guidance to fulfill their vision.
