Buguias, Benguet: The Philippine Luzon Highland District (PLHD) conducted the first Women of Worth Fellowship on 24 September 2024. Three hundred vibrant women from the different PLHD churches gathered for an inspiring Women’s Fellowship event called “Empowering Women of Worth Through Prayer.” The event, held at Benguet State University – Buguias Campus Multipurpose Gymnasium, Loo Valley, Buguias, was a resounding success in celebrating faith and empowerment through prayer.
The fellowship featured four fascinating speakers who shared their words of encouragement about prayer. Rev. Sun Rae Yoon discussed the importance of asking, seeking, and knocking on the Lord. Moreover, Rev. Yunhyang Lee emphasized that a beautiful woman is a Christian who resembles a Christlike lifestyle. In addition, Ptra. Julie Ann Galino highlighted that as Christian women with different roles, women should live joyfully by being repentant and by placing themselves in the Lord’s presence. Finally, Rev. Inocencia Piliin encouraged everyone to emulate Hannah, who was faithful to her calling and consecrated to the will of God.
God used this fellowship to remind the attendees of the power of prayer. A WOW from Abatan Church of the Nazarene who joined the fellowship was very thankful and did not regret attending the activity. She was taught new lessons, perspectives, and reminders of prayer’s importance in today’s busy world. She said, “Sometimes, prayer is our last resort when it should be our first move in everything we do. The fellowship was meaningful and refreshing emotionally and spiritually!”
Overall, the activity went smoothly, thanks to the Lord’s guidance and blessings. The district is looking forward to another WOW fellowship!
