Asia-Pacific Region honors Mark and Linda Louw

by | Aug 30, 2024

Taytay, Rizal, Philippines—22 August 2024: The Asia-Pacific Regional Office honors Mark and Linda Louw, outgoing regional director, during their final visit to the Philippines on 22 August 2024. Regional ministry coordinators, regional office staff, APNTS faculty and staff, and the Philippines Micronesia field team gathered at the Cobb Worship Center at APNTS.

This simple gathering showed how grateful the region is for Mark and Linda’s 12 years of service. Words of thanksgiving, prayers, and encouragement poured out to them. A video was also shared to celebrate their amazing years of leadership and friendship across the region.

“It has been an amazing privilege. We loved it. We were so excited about moving here and being here where the action is. Where there is so much passion and vision, and then we got a call. And… somebody else gets to be with you as you grow and explode, and there are amazing things that happened in this region, and it’s going to… This region is so ready! So ready… to explode for the Church of the Nazarene and most especially for the Kingdom of God.” – Rev. Linda Louw

“I am Mark because my mother called me Mark. So why not be Mark? Why do I have to be a “Doctor”? Or “Reverend” or “RD”? I know who I am. I know what my responsibility is. I know the level of accountability and responsibility to be given to me. And we are just colleagues doing ministry collectively. Some of us have great responsibility and different levels of accountability, but we’re all at peace in the kingdom of God. So don’t let anyone look down on you. Never feel inferior because you are not a boss or assigned something. Just give it your all! Serve Him! With your whole heart and God will see that.” – Dr. Mark Louw

The event ended with a wonderful time of prayer. The Louws are set to travel to Switzerland in September. Let us pray for their smooth transition to their new assignment.
