Entrance to the Kudjip Hospital in Papua New Guinea.

Asia-Pacific Region:  On Monday, October 14th, when the urgent message came out of Papua New Guinea, indicating that the hospital had been closed and that there was a need for very focused prayer, the World Mission Communications Team went into overdrive, preparing the message to go out to the Global Church.   (See the original story)

YOU RESPONDED!   We published the story globally on October 15th, via NCN News, Facebook and Twitter. The analytics on our website allow us to track the volume of visitors and what stories they are reading.   All around the world people were following on Facebook (around 1,100 people) and agreeing to pray.

We Believe In The Power of Prayer!

The graphic to the right shows an incredible correlation between visitors, prayer and answered prayer.   You will note that we typically average around 190 visitors per day.

On the 15th of October when the need for prayer in Papua New Guinea was made public, the visitors to our site started to show an exponential growth.

That same day we received updates from Papua New Guinea that there was some movement but that much still needed to happen in reconciliation between parties involved before the hospital could re-open.

On the 17th we evidenced an all-time record visitor peak of more than 1,300 visitors to our site and prayer article.  On Facebook well over 1,100 individuals had seen the posts requesting prayer.

We can only surmise that those who are following the link to pray are taking a moment to spend focused time in prayer.

What happened?  On the 17th the reconciliation needed was made and the hospital re-opened!  Praise God!

Over the course of that article’s run, over 2,170 people came read, and I believe prayed! We don’t often have the opportunity to connect all of the dots between prayer and answers, but in this case – it was so very clear!

Your prayers were answered and God acted on behalf of our mission in Papua New Guinea.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed.  The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”  James 5:16

“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Prayer does make a difference.  As prayer warriors you are vital members of our team!  Please continue to check back regularly and pray for those greatest needs that will always be featured prominently on the home page of our site!

Many blessings!
