Super Typhoon Nepartak Update from Taiwanese Leaders

by | Jul 15, 2016

Taiwan / China:  After landfall on July 8th, 2016, Super Typhoon Nepartak made its way across the island nation of Taiwan, leaving a fairly significant amount of destruction, with reportedly 3 people killed and more than 300 injured.

The storm then moved across the Taiwan Strait into China, leaving another reported six killed.

The Associated Press reported that more than 438,000 people were relocated.

Our church leaders in Taiwan, where we have at least 43 organized churches and more than 3,000 members, reports that God has protected and they have survived the storm well.

One of our pastors shared that while there was very bad wind and many fallen trees, the churches were generally dry in spite of the wind and the rain.  He further shared because of a fallen fence/wall and the tree debris, it had helped them to work together with their neighbors, developing closer relationships.

“All things work together for the good of those who love God!” shared pastor James!

Thank you for your prayers and concern for the people of Taiwan and China. Our God does answer!  The devastation could have been so much worse!
