New NMI Coordinator Appointed for Asia-Pacific Region

Manila, Philippines:  Regional Director Dr.  Mark Louw has announced the appointment of Mrs. Connie Lou Aebischer as the new Regional NMI Coordinator.

“Not only is Connie passionate about missions, but she has in Manila, the World Mission Communications Asia-Pacific Team at her disposal,” said Louw.   “This will help facilitate the dissemination of information, telling of the story and demonstration of the impact that missions is having on the world.”

The Aebischers began their service in missions in 1989 with a Work and Witness trip to S. Africa.  Since that time they have served in several capacities in the Western Pacific, West Africa, and now on the Asia-Pacific Region.  (mission profile)

Connie Lou currently serves with her husband, Todd, in the Regional Communications Office in Manila.   She has been assisting with Work and Witness coordination on the region as well as serving as editor of the Region’s “Around The Region” weekly newsletter.

Pauline Sheppard, who requested to resign as regional coordinator,  has accepted the position of Australia / New Zealand Field NMI Coordinator.  Pauline will also continue serving as the regionally elected representative to the Global NMI Council.     

The Region wishes to thank Pauline for her service as Regional NMI Coordinator since 2009, and wishes a warm welcome to Connie as she steps into the role.

We believe that these two dedicated leaders will together, work alongside our national pastors, and leaders, in empowering the local church for missions!

Todd and Connie Lou Aebischer served as Regional Communications Coordinator - Regional NMI Coordinator respectively for over 4 years. They are now serving in Papua New Guinea under Mission Aviation Fellowship as Country Director / Program Director.
