NDI and Samaritans Purse minister to children from local Nazarene churches around Vanuatu

by | Mar 10, 2023

Vanuatu:  It was a special day for the children in the Vanuatu District Church of the Nazarene on 12 February 2023. More than 100 children ages 2-14 years old gathered at the district center to have a time of fellowship, games, and Bible Stories.

All the Nazarene Sunday School teachers in Vanuatu joined together and ministered to the children. They shared the Gospel of Jesus with the kids using pictures and stories to illustrate God’s love for the world.

After the activities, the children were treated to special surprise gifts from The Samaritan’s Purse.  Samaritan’s Purse is sponsoring and supporting the local children’s ministry in Vanuatu through the Operation Christmas Child Gift program. This program has effectively encouraged and empowered all the Sunday School teachers in Vanuatu and local church leaders as they make more Christlike disciples.

The children were all happy to receive these unexpected gifts. This gesture greatly impacted the children because this allowed them to experience the true and tangible love of Jesus Christ. It was a joy to watch the faces of the children light up when they opened the gifts.

“It was an exciting day to watch all the children come to know Christ and then watch their faces light up when they opened their gifts. What a joy it was.” – D.S. Rev. Peter Isaac
