Content in Christ

I started the year by staying at home due to a Covid outbreak. We had one month of freedom to travel and live normal lives, and we have been back to stay at home since the end of February. The country went from 500 Covid cases for all of 2020 to almost 10,000 cases in 2 months this year. We are allowed to buy food and essentials, but we cannot travel outside of the city.

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
-Philippians 4:12-13

2021 has been full of surprises!

I am safe, healthy, and I have all I need, but many people suffer during this time. Most people cannot work, and all of the traditional markets have been closed in the city.

In a country where most people work daily to provide for their families, the lockdown makes it difficult for people to purchase enough food to feed their families.

Much is still unknown, and we probably have more time before this outbreak will be under control, but God is faithful. He is here with me, and He has assured me that I am not alone in so many ways. He assures me in the calls from our local people, in messages from friends and family worldwide.

God provides neighbors who make sure I am still surviving. And, there are many prayers offered from around the world. Most of all, I hear the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit that speaks to me. God is good!
