by | Aug 9, 2014

Matsue, Japan:  Although Typhoon Halong has recently been downgraded to a tropical storm,  it is still a cause for major concern in Japan.    Pastor Junichi Nakade  (former APNTS Student) was contacted by WMC-AP and provides the following report.

I live in Matsue (check the map yellow square – top center).
Now, our area has a strong wind but no rain.
The weather forecast said that the typhoon will hit our area tomorrow [Sunday 08/10] early morning .

I just watched the news and it indicates that especially South-Kyusyu, Kochi and Tsu have very heavy rain now.

MIe prefecture (right blue circle) gave an evacuation advisory to five hundred fifty thousand people.
And most of prefectures gave a storm warning.

I guess that this typhoon will bring more damage to many places at midnight to tomorrow morning.
