On 2 August 2026, Rehoboth Church of the Nazarene (GKN Rehoboth) in Wonreli, Kisar Island, Southwest Maluku, Indonesia, was officially organized under the leadership of Nusa Tenggara & Maluku District Superintendent Rev. Juni Kristian Telambanua. Established in 2010, the church now has 64 members and is led by Rev. Rosalina Ratusehaka.
The series of ministry activities held on Kisar Island provided deeply strengthening equipping sessions. The ministry began with a special meeting with the Pastor, Rev. Rosalina Ratusehaka, and her husband, Mr. Roy. This meeting served as an opportunity for in-depth equipping in pastoral leadership roles and for sharpening the church’s future vision and mission.
Equipping continued for the local church board members during a two-hour afternoon session. This training focused on understanding the board’s role and the technical preparations for the church’s official organization. Subsequently, the entire congregation gathered for a two-hour discipleship training session to deepen the foundations of faith and commitment to following Christ. Intensive two-hour equipping sessions were also provided for the NDI, NYI, and NMI ministry departments to solidify their categorical ministry functions. The highlight of the event was the Sunday Service, which incorporated the official organization ceremony of Rehoboth Church Of The Nazarene. The joy continued into the evening with a Spiritual Revival Service that ignited the congregation’s spiritual fervor.
Mrs. Rosalina shared, “Praise God, the congregation is delighted and highly enthusiastic about the new things they have witnessed—from the training sessions to the church organization. We are deeply blessed; this has provided fresh insight for both the congregation and the church board regarding their respective duties and responsibilities in light of their talents. We are also committed to starting a discipleship class for young adults, youth, and kids, and we are beginning to offer Discipleship classes.”
The organization of GKN Rehoboth marks a new milestone in the congregation’s journey of faith. With renewed spirit, an increasingly clear vision, and hearts ready to serve, may Rehoboth Church of The Nazarene continue to grow and be a blessing to Wonreli, Kisar Island, the Nusa Tenggara and Maluku district, and to the ends of the earth.
