Update: 8-July-2014

Typhoon Neoguri has been downgraded from a Category 5 to 4 storm over the past 12 hours.  Please Continue to pray.  You can see updates at this link:

Japan: The Asia-Pacific Region is closely watching as Super Typhoon Neoguri approaches the southern islands of Japan.

With sustained winds already exceeding 155 mph (250 kph) this storm is definitely capable of inflicting significant damage.  We remember all to well, the devastating effects of Super Typhoon Yolanda that ravaged the Central Philippines on November 8th, 2013.

Forecasters are estimating that the storm will reach Category 5 and impact the area of Okinawa by Tuesday morning.

Please continue to keep Japan in your prayers.  We have 65 organized churches and some 4,000 Nazarenes on the Japan District.

Updated storm tracking may be obtained from this link.
