New Nazarene Manual Now Available in Chinese

by | Apr 1, 2011

After 4-1/2 months of work, a committee of ten people from four countries (Taiwan, Hong Kong, the US, and Singapore) completed the 2009-2013 edition of the Nazarene Manual in Traditional Chinese.  Committee members were able to collaborate on the project long distance from their various locations, using a combination of electronic media including email, Skype and a new online translation tool developed by the Asia-Pacific regional communications team (http://wmc-ap.org/translate/login.php).

According to project coordinator, Pastor Darrin Kuo of Taiwan,  “God provided everything we needed including professional editors, experienced pastors, language specialists, and a printing house to come together and complete this great task!”

The next step for this committee, in the next few months, is to develop a revised edition of the Manual in Simplified Chinese.   Beyond that, they have their sites set on several other holiness literature projects that will bless the Chinese church worldwide.   Pastor Kuo says, “Our group comes from many places.  However, with the experience of the Manual translation we understand that together we can accomplish God’s will in sharing the good news through media. It is God who is moving us to come together, so He will move us to do even bigger things for Him!”
