by | Jan 15, 2015

Kudjip Nazarene Hospital: Rachel Thompson, wife of Jordon Thompson, Nazarene missionaries in Papua New Guinea, underwent successful emergency surgery on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital.

Please pray for Rachael’s continued recovery and for the ongoing healthy development of their unborn baby.

**** UPDATE ****

01/15 Update received from the field: Rachel is recovering at home. She’s “better every day” according to Jordan.  She walked outside briefly today.

“The missionary family here is grateful that two of our beloved members are recovering. It affects us all when someone gets sick enough to consider evacuation, or to need urgent surgery. It may be of interest that when it was known that Rachel was on her way to the operating room, 7 or 8 missionaries, including some of the teenagers, hurried to the lab to donate blood for her. The first 3 had compatible blood,” said Dr. Andy Bennett, Missionary Doctor at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital.

What a tremendous thing to have such a supportive mission community and global Church pouring out the prayer for this team!
