Hoi Kop Kap, Northern Thailand — A new chapter of ministry has begun in the mountain village of Hoi Kop Kap near Chiang Mai, where the newly completed Hoi Kop Kap Church was recently dedicated to the glory of God.
The church began as a small gathering in the home of a local believer through the outreach ministry of Pasak Church of the Nazarene. Over time, more than twenty people gathered regularly for worship, prayer, and Bible study. Today, Hoi Kop Kap Church stands as the only Christian church in the village, serving as a beacon of hope in a community traditionally shaped by ancestor worship and spirit beliefs.
The construction of the church and pastoral home became possible through the prayers and partnership of many believers, including the Yehang Panflute Mission Team from Korea. Founded in 2004, the team has spent more than two decades using music as a ministry of worship and mission.
During their visit to Northern Thailand, the team also encouraged students and ministry workers at the Mae Taeng student home and shared a special mission concert at Novodeang Church.
The highlight of the trip was the dedication service at Hoi Kop Kap Church. Local believers dressed in traditional tribal attire joined the Korean mission team in worship and thanksgiving as the sound of the panflute filled the sanctuary. The service celebrated not only the completion of a building but also God’s faithfulness in establishing His church in this mountain community.
What began as a small house fellowship has now become a place where future generations will worship, learn God’s Word, and encounter the love of Christ. Please continue praying for Hoi Kop Kap Church and the ministries throughout Northern Thailand as the seeds of the gospel continue to grow and bear fruit.
