Yangon, Myanmar: The Southeast Asia Field Jesus Film Ministry held an Enhancement Training from 15 to 17 March 25 at the City Golf Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar. The event brought together 24 participants, including 21 teams from five different districts in the country, fostering a spirit of encouragement and collaboration to grow the ministry. This ministry has 730 Locations, 5,886 Evangelistic Contacts, 1,194 Decisions for Christ, 5,934 Initial Discipleship/Follow-up, and 120 Preaching Points.
Dr. Arnel Jotiz, the Field Jesus Film Harvest Partners Coordinator, started the training by sharing an inspiring message from Matthew 28:19-21, emphasizing the call to discipleship. He also presented a summary of the ministry’s accomplishments from the previous year, showcasing the significant impact of the Jesus Film Ministry in various communities.
Dr. Bill Kwon, SEA Field Strategy Coordinator, led a session focusing on the fundamental principles of the Jesus Film Ministry. He utilized the LYDIA method to discuss evangelism, discipleship, and church planting strategies. His insights stressed the importance of prayerfully identifying and training potential leaders through Chapman International College, empowering them to shepherd their congregations effectively, transitioning from preaching points to mission-type churches and, ultimately, to fully organized churches.
During the afternoon session, several Jesus Film teams shared their ministry reports, highlighting God’s transformative work through His people. These testimonies illustrated the gospel’s expansion and the ministry’s positive influence in various regions, reinforcing the collective mission.
Christine Jotiz, the Field Communication Coordinator, conducted a training session on the importance of communication within the ministry. She offered practical tips on crafting concise monthly reports, impactful testimonies, and stories that embody the ministry’s progress and impact.
After the training, Rev. Saw Roland Htaoo, a JF Team leader, expressed his gratitude, stating, “This training clarified my previous uncertainties regarding strategies. The guidance on writing better reports will enhance our organization and overall impact.”

The Jesus Film Ministry Enhancement Training was a fruitful and empowering experience for all attendees. It gave them fresh perspectives, strategic insights, and practical skills necessary to further God’s kingdom through their mission endeavors. Praise the Lord for His continuous guidance and blessings, equipping us to advance evangelism, discipleship, and church planting effectively.
