He is Risen! An Easter Message from the Regional Director.

by | Apr 4, 2015

Resurrection greetings from the Asia-Pacific Region.
During the late 1960s the world as now, was in turmoil and transition with increased drug abuse, racial tension and the infiltration of the, “God is dead” idea in the American educational system.

During a period of heightened personal stress, Gloria Gaither in a moment of surrender to Jesus was filled with a sweet, calming peace. Her panic gave way to a calmness and an assurance that only the Lord can give. In that moment, she was assured that the future would be fine left in God’s hands. The power of Christ’s resurrection was reaffirmed in her life and in her thoughts. To Gloria it was, “life conquering death” as joy once again permeated the fearful circumstances of her life.

All of this gave rise to one of the most famous Southern Gospel songs of our time, “Because He Lives.”

God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

As we remember Christ’s resurrection, we gain assurance and strength to overcome the frightening obstacles of life. Today, may we be reminded that Jesus lives, every single day, in our hearts, thereby empowering us to overcome all that the world throws our way.

May you know today, the power of the Resurrection.
