Asia-Pacific Region joins the Global Week of Prayer

by | Mar 14, 2025

The Asia-Pacific Region participated in the Global Week of Prayer, which was held from 2 to 8 March 2025. The regional Nazarene Missions International Council led this initiative.

The kickoff event was pre-recorded and played on March 2nd at 5:30 P.M. via the Church of the Nazarene Asia Pacific FB Page, generating over 1,500 views!

In her welcome remarks, RNMI Coordinator Pastor Christine T. Mosuela opened the prayer time by saying, “Today, we come together as a community, united in faith and purpose, to seek wisdom, strength, and guidance from the Lord. Amidst our daily responsibilities and challenges, setting aside this time for collective prayer reminds us of the power of faith, hope, and unity.

The region is truly blessed to serve as we prioritize corporate prayer. This Global Week of Prayer (GWP) gathering is an opportunity to lift our hearts in praise, share our burdens, and intercede for one another and the world around us.

As we prayed together, we opened our hearts to receive divine direction and encouragement, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is with us.

All six fields in the Asia-Pacific region had their schedules for the whole week to lead the daily GWP. Some fields prayed early in the morning, and the others in the evening. Local churches also joined, and children became engaged as they prayed for the regions using the packet provided for Kids. Indeed, prayer knows no bounds!

The Australia-New Zealand field led the closing of the GWP, and representatives from the regions’ fields were in attendance via Zoom.

In her closing remarks, Pastor Christine encouraged and thanked everyone who joined and by saying, “As we end this week-long prayer time, may we be one of the great multitude from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’”  “May we be reminded that this week is just the beginning of our prayers for the six regions.  Young and old are encouraged to continue praying until the next Global Week of Prayer.” She further added.
