APNTS Concludes Another Year of “Bridging Cultures for Christ”

by | Apr 15, 2011

April 2 was a day of both laughter and tears, as APNTS conferred and hooded 19 students with their Masters Degrees.  These students now join the 540 Graduates of the APNTS Alumni Association.  The graduates well-reflected the growing ethnic and denominational diversity of APNTS:  seven were from the Philippines, six were from Myanmar, four from Korea, one from Japan, and one from the United States.

As always, Graduation is a time of reflection on the year gone by and a time to look forward to the school’s ventures to come.   The theme for this school year has come from Joshua 1:18, “be strong and courageous”.    This is very fitting for the strong emphasis that the school places on community involvement.  In his year-end report, APNTS president Dr. Floyd T. Cunningham reaffirmed his desire to see students demonstrate an aggressive kind of love for the people who are in their midst.

This has been another year of record enrolment for the school with 184 students enrolled in three locations across the Asia-Pacific area.   Much of this growth has been due to the opening of extension programs in Fiji and Papua New Guinea.   APNTS looks forward to some of its first graduates of these extension programs next year.
APNTS is proud of its diverse and active student body, and looks forward to the international impact that its graduating students will have for the body of Christ.
