KNU Opens Permanent Exhibit Center to Display Historical Pictures

KNU 1Korea Nazarene University (KNU) opened a permanent exhibit center to display photographs of the University’s 60 years of history. The opening ceremony was held at 3:00 p.m. on 13 February in the lobby of the Owens International Hall.  Min-Gyoo Shin, the President of KNU as well as Mark Louw, Asia-Pacific Regional Director for the Church of the Nazarene; David Alexander, President of Northwest Nazarene University; Ki-Dong Han, Superintendent of General Assembly of KNU; Doo-Hyun Ryoo, Chairman of Nazarene Educational Institute and other officials of KNU and the Church of the Nazarene attended the ceremony, cut ribbon and congratulated the opening of the exhibition center.

The permanent exhibit center which is located on the 1st floor of the Owens International Hall displays about 80 historical photographs of KNU. Beginning with its establishment by Dr. Owen, the photographs are categorized by topic and year. Displays of items related to rehabilitation welfare and internationalization, which are major areas of focus at KNU, attracts particular interest for the viewers.KNU 2

“With the permanent exhibit center, the 60 year history of KNU can be seen in one place,” stated a KNU official. “The university will progress further with the spirit of remembering the past and learning the new.”

Using the opening of the permanent exhibition center as a kick-off, KNU is planning various activities for this 60th anniversary year.
