ANTIPOLO, BAGUIO, and ILOILO, Philippines — The Philippines-Micronesia Field (PMF) of the Church of the Nazarene successfully conducted the 2026 Collaborative Preaching Clinics, bringing together approximately 270 pastors, ministry workers, and theological students from across the country for a series of intensive training sessions focused on transformational biblical preaching and mission-centered ministry.
Led by Dr. Brad Paradee, pastor of Long Beach First Church of the Nazarene in California, USA, the three regional clinics equipped participants to become more effective proclaimers of God’s Word while strengthening their commitment to the Church’s mission of making Christlike disciples.
The first batch, held at Antipolo Church of the Nazarene, gathered around 70 participants from the Metropolitan Nazarene District, Quezon-Marinduque District, and Southern Tagalog District. Over two days, pastors and ministry leaders engaged in practical discussions on biblical preaching, evangelistic communication, and leadership development. The gathering also provided meaningful opportunities for fellowship, encouragement, and collaboration among ministry leaders serving in Southern Luzon.
Following the successful conclusion of the Antipolo clinic, the training continued in Baguio City, where the second batch welcomed approximately 100–120 participants from the Luzon Highlands District, Luzon Lowlands District, and Metropolitan Nazarene District at Philippine Nazarene College. Participants deepened their understanding of expository preaching while sharpening their ministry skills to communicate God’s Word with greater clarity, faithfulness, and effectiveness in today’s ministry context.
The final Collaborative Preaching Clinic took place at La Paz Church of the Nazarene in Iloilo City, bringing together approximately 100 pastors and ministry workers from the Panay District and Negros District. During the two-day training, participants explored biblical preaching principles while also discussing the Asia-Pacific Region’s VMOST (Vision, Mission, Objectives, Strategy, and Tactics) and the regional mission theme, “The Mission of God Through the People of God.” These conversations encouraged ministry leaders to align their churches more intentionally with God’s mission of transforming communities through Christlike discipleship.
Throughout the three clinics, participants engaged with key topics including the purpose of the Preaching Collaborative, understanding today’s ministry context, preaching to the unchurched, finding power in the biblical text, and developing transformational sermons that faithfully proclaim the gospel.
The Collaborative Preaching Clinics reflect the Church of the Nazarene’s ongoing commitment to investing in pastors and ministry leaders through practical theological training and collaborative learning. By strengthening biblical preaching and equipping servant leaders across the Philippines, the initiative seeks to empower local churches to become effective witnesses of God’s transforming grace within their communities.
As the clinics concluded, participants were encouraged to return to their respective districts renewed in their calling, equipped to preach God’s Word with faithfulness and conviction, and united in advancing the shared mission of “The Mission of God Through the People of God.”
