Keelung, Taiwan: The Keelung Pioneer Team, in partnership with Taiwan Peace Lutheran Church in Dawu Lun, coordinated a community Easter event on 29 March 2026, bringing together families, friends, and residents for activities centered on the message of hope found in Easter.
The event was designed to foster meaningful connections with the surrounding community while sharing the significance and true meaning of Easter.

A total of 19 children and 23 adults participated in the gathering. Attendees participated in a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the program. The event featured a puppet show that presented the Easter story in an engaging and fun way, especially for children. Participants also joined in singing and dancing segments that encouraged group interaction and celebration.
In addition to the performances, the program included arts and crafts activities that allowed children and families to creatively reflect on the themes of Easter. The event concluded with an Easter egg hunt, providing an opportunity for children to enjoy a traditional activity commonly associated with the celebration.
The collaborative effort between the Keelung Pioneer Team and local church reflects a shared commitment to community engagement and outreach. By combining storytelling, creativity, and interactive activities, the event aimed to create a welcoming environment for all attendees and share the good news of the Gospel.
The gathering is part of ongoing efforts by the Keelung pioneer team to build relationships within the community and provide cultural exchange.

East Asia Field Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Jeremy Budd, who was in attendance during the celebration, had these words to say: “The Church of the Nazarene is a missional church. We exist to see all people experience new life in Jesus Christ. This was a wonderful event to share the Easter story with children and families.
