Mandalay Youth Step Into Deeper Faith at First-Ever Zone NYI Conference

by | Nov 21, 2025

Something remarkable unfolded in the heart of Mandalay on 11–12 September 2025. For the first time, youth leaders and young disciples from across the zone gathered at Antioch Gospel Church of the Nazarene for a two-day conference that ignited revival, renewed vision, and a fresh sense of mission.

With the powerful theme “Launch Out into the Deep,” thirty-two young people committed themselves to a deeper journey of faith, leadership, and service. For many, this gathering became more than an event – it was a defining moment for the youth who are hungry to serve God.

The conference was led by NYI President Roland and NDI President Levi NT, who guided participants through engaging teaching sessions, Spirit-filled worship, and meaningful moments of prayer. District Superintendent Adam delivered a powerful message on Holiness, calling the youth to live set-apart lives in a challenging world. Saya NT emphasized intentional Discipleship, while Roland presented the NYI Mission Strategy, outlining practical ways young people can actively participate in God’s global mission.

The messages from Saya Solomon and Saya Thein Than deeply stirred hearts, and times of worship became sacred spaces where many wept, surrendered, and opened themselves to God’s leading. During altar moments, Roland and May Thandra Oo prayed over the youth, speaking encouragement, courage, and purpose into their lives.

Participant Zinmar Soe shared how the conference reshaped her understanding of mission:
“I have a heart for mission, but I didn’t know how young people could be involved. At this conference, I finally understood. The messages and strategies empowered me to begin serving now—not someday, but today.”

For Ye Win Htun, the gathering was a turning point in his call to ministry:
“I heard the Lord’s call, but I was afraid to step out. During worship, I dedicated myself to God’s call and received the prayers of our NYI leaders. I’m no longer afraid.”

The first Mandalay Zone NYI Conference marks a significant milestone—one that may signal the beginning of a movement among the region’s youth. As this rising generation chooses to go deeper, love stronger, and serve faithfully, we celebrate God’s work in their lives.

The waters may be deep, but our God is deeper still.

Please join us in praying for these young leaders as they continue to launch out into the deep.
