URGENT PRAYER – West Africa – Largest Ever Outbreak of Ebola. Christian Doctor Contracts Disease!

by | Jul 28, 2014

Liberia, W. Africa:  Please commit to pray for Nazarenes and non-Nazarenes alike in the West African nations of Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea.

Now being noted as the largest ever outbreak of Ebola, a deadly virus, the death toll is reaching over 600.

Samaritan’s Purse, a Franklin Graham Ministry, and partner with the Asia-Pacific Region, most recently in the Typhoon Yolanda response, is requesting urgent prayer.

One of the Samaritan’s Purse physicians, Dr. Kent Brantly, from Ft Worth Texas, has just recently tested positive for the disease and is receiving urgent care at a center just outside of Monrovia, Liberia.   Dr. Brantly serves as the medical director for the Samaritan’s Purse Ebola Consolidated Case Management Center in Monrovia, Liberia.

The Church of the Nazarene has many members throughout Liberia and the other West African Nations involved in this outbreak.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers.  Pray for wisdom and protection of the healthcare workers as they risk their lives to bring treatment to those who are suffering.

Please follow this LINK for updates from Samaritan’s Purse regarding Dr. Brantly.
