On 8-10 November 2025, the Board of Trustees for Nazarene Theological College Australia and New Zealand (NTC) held its annual meetings on NTC’s campus in Brisbane, Australia. The NTC Board is made up of representatives from the Australia and New Zealand Field (ANZ Field), including Field Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Satish Manmothe, New Zealand District Superintendent, Rev. Paul Talluri, Australia Southern District Superintendent, Rev. Harry Malos, Australia Northwest District Superintendent, Rev. Richard Giesken, appointed representatives from each of the three districts on the ANZ Field, and a few external members who add expertise in different areas.
Chaired by Regional Education Coordinator, Rev. Dr. Bruce Allder, the meetings took place over three days, including the NTC Celebration service on the second day. Saturday’s meeting was dedicated to prayer, discussion, and a tour of the NTC campus. Principal Joseph Wood highlighted necessary campus improvements made in 2025 (new road surfacing, campus-wide IT upgrades, ongoing refurbishment of a dormitory, and library reorganization). Trustees were able to eat together and spend dedicated time in conversation about the college’s future.
On Monday, the Trustees met again to hear reports and make some important decisions. Notably, the election of a new Chair. DS Paul Talluri was elected Chair of the NTC Board of Trustees for the 2026 year. Principal Joseph Wood delivered his report entitled “Courageous Generosity”, in which he outlined a vision for the future of the college that will require deep courage, which will be followed by incredible generosity. Of the future, Principal Joseph reflected on Psalm 112, which says, “How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying His commands. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” He spoke about the challenges facing theological education today, saying, “The world today is very different from what it was in 1953 when the college was born. NTC has been educating people for mission and ministry for nearly seventy-five years. God has been faithful in providing for the college, and I truly believe God will continue to be faithful for the next seventy-five years.”
The meetings concluded with prayer for the college and principal, punctuating what was a deeply prayerful time together. Please pray for NTC Australia and New Zealand, and for the days ahead. If you would like to learn more about the college, check out their website: ntc.edu.au.
