On 14th -16th November 2025, the New Zealand District held its 58th District Assembly. This year’s theme, “Walk in the Spirit,” is a timely reminder to prepare for the harvest. Being children of God means we must walk a life led by the Spirit. Romans 8:14 – For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
A weekend filled with powerful sermons captured the theme from various angles, reminding attendees that walking in the Spirit means setting themselves apart from the world, for they are called to a life of holiness. Speakers emphasized that what individuals have in their hands is already enough, and when surrendered to God, He can transform even the smallest offering into blessings far greater than imagined. They shared that when the Lord interrupts, it is to redirect His people toward a path of abundance. The assembly encouraged everyone to begin by praying grace and peace over one another.
This year, they were joined by General Superintendent David A. Busic, Regional Director Dr. Kafoa, Rev. Aggie Muaror, Field Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Satish Manmothe, NTC Principal Dr. Joseph Wood & Kathryn Wood, and ANWD District Superintendent Rev. Richard Giesken. Praise God for His travelling mercies upon them all.
Hundreds of people gathered in fellowship each day. The daytime sessions acknowledged the work throughout the year by all the ministries – NDI, NMI & NYI. Whom all reported a fruitful year. A year of blessings and a time of transformation. A time to thank God for the leadership’s example of humility and service. Not for their own gain but for the glory of God and the discipleship of others.
They celebrated the ordination of 5 new elders: Rev. Mr Kiran Prasad Gundugollu, Rev. Mrs Leitu Lesatele, Rev. Mr Ezekiel Afuvai, Rev. Mrs Alofa Leleaivaoese, and Rev. Mrs Tausaga Fa’avae. Praise God for their faithfulness and commitment to their studies.
The presence of the Holy Spirit created a sense of peace throughout the three days at the newly renovated Otara Church of the Nazarene. A resounding message of unity, grace, and undeniable growth happening right now. It can only be the loving hand of God.
Please continue to pray for the NZ District. For DS Dr Paul Talluri and family.
