Nazarene Pastor from Thailand passes away after accident.

Situek, Thailand:  The Asia-Pacific Region is mourning the loss of a significant member of our ministry team in Thailand.  Pastor Prakaen Dongsonkram, passed away at his home on the morning of April 16th after complications from an accident that occurred on January 1st. Pastor Prakaen awoke one month ago from a coma and was starting to see some improvement, so this turn of events has come as a significant challenge to the family and members of the Situek Church of the Nazarene.

“Pastor Prakaen is remembered as an exuberant pastor who always praised God by singing and lifting both hands to the Lord,” said Lisa Lehman, team member in Thailand.

“He had a vision for ministry and looked for ways to reach into the community.  The last four months have been heart breaking for us and the church as we watched him recover some and now pass on,” stated David Phillips, Field Strategy Coordinator for the Southeast Asia Field.

One thing is for sure, this Easter, Pastor Prakaen will be celebrating and dancing again to worship music in the presence of the King!

Please keep the members of Pastor Prakaen’s family, church, and the Thailand ministry team in your prayers.

The memorial service for Pastor Prakaen will be held on Saturday, April 19th, in Situek.
