Kingdom of Tonga:  Twenty one degrees south of the equator, in the South Pacific Ocean, lies the Kingdom of Tonga, a small nation comprised of some 176 islands.

Australia-MangoTree5For many years, there was little hope for children with disabilities who were born in this area of the Pacific.  But today, there is incredible hope thanks to the ministry of the Mango Tree Respite Center, and Nazarene missionaries ‘Amanaki In-Kwon Kim and his wife ‘Ofa Jeong-Seok Kim.

Austrailia-MangoTree‘Amanaki and ‘Ofa have dedicated their lives to loving children with disabilities and it is making a huge impact.   They work with epileptic children, those who are paralyzed, who suffer from cognitive dysfunction, and those who are blind and deaf.

“We help anyone who is disabled. We cannot refuse,” says ‘Ofa. “Disabled children are my treasure.”
