Heaviest rains in recorded history in Philippines start to taper. Flooding widespread. photo by The Nation.

The monsoonal rains falling in the Philippines since Sunday began to taper Wednesday morning.   Reports are starting to be received from pastors in Cavite Province, a province that lies on the southern edge of Manila Bay, regarding their need for relief supplies.   Nazarene Compassionate Ministries coordinators from the Philippine Field Office were on their way to one of our local Nazarene churches in the municipality of General Mariano Alvarez, (Cavite Province), where they will be bringing supplies purchased by Nazarene Compassionate Ministries funds, to be staged and distributed.

Thank you to all who participate in giving to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.  We will continue to bring updates regarding the relief efforts as reports are received here at Asia-Pacific World Communications.
