Suva, Fiji: On 10 November 2025, the South Pacific Field and Fiji District are so blessed and honored to present the newly elected District Superintendent for Fiji District, Rev. Sanaila Roqara.
Rev. Sanaila Roqara said, “I’m thankful to God for the opportunity and humbled to serve as District Superintendent of the Fiji district”. He enrolled at the South Pacific Bible College in 2002 and completed his degree in 2004, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. In September 2003, he was assigned to oversee a new church planting in Nadi, which later became known as Community of Grace Church.
Rev. Sanaila is blessed to be married to a God-fearing woman, Rev. Leilani Politini Roqara, who is the Chancellor of the South Pacific Nazarene Theological College [SPNTC]. They met in SPBC and got married in 2006. Since then, they have been serving the Church of the Nazarene for two decades, and the support and prayers they have for each other have borne fruit not only in the Fiji District but also in the Field and Region as a Global Church. This powerful couple has been growing together, having gone through seasons of testing, yet continues to lean on God, the provider and sustainer of their faith.
According to Rev. Leilani, a recent graduate of Nazarene Theological College [NTC] in Brisbane, Australia, “Our lives should demonstrate to others what is possible.” This is true for them: when the going gets tough, God remains faithful and honors His relationship with His children as they journey through His grace and goodness over the years, serving the Lord. They have said YES, and Fiji District is grateful to this fine couple for serving the Lord and the Church of the Nazarene during this season.
General Superintendent Dr. David Busic was blessed to have ordained this delightful couple, whom he adored for their service with the heart of Jesus, and he continued to be amazed at the quality of leaders the Lord is raising around the world.
The Asia Pacific Regional Director, Rev. Kafoa Muaror, was there to witness the blessing and anointing of Rev. Sanaila to replace Rev. Daniel Latu, who is now serving as a missionary in the Pioneer District of Tonga.
“We are forever thankful to our parents and siblings for their love and support. We are thankful also to our District Superintendents, whom we have served under and with, for their leadership and mentoring. Our gratitude also to Pastors and the family of pastors, in years past and today, here in Fiji. We are thankful to God also for our Fiji District and Community of Grace family, in entrusting us with this role to serve as leaders”. – DS Rev. Sanaila Roqara
This humble servant of God is ready to expand God’s territory in Fiji and enlarge the Kingdom of God through his dedication to serving the Almighty Holy God.
