The Philippines and Micronesia Field held its first Pastors’ Kids Webinar, entitled CARE & CONNECT, held online on 17 May 2025. It was attended by over 100 Pastors’ Kids, 15 years old and above, from the Philippines. Other Filipino pastors’ kids from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and Taiwan were also present.
The timely and powerful messages shared by Ms. Rebecca Grace Muaror, daughter of Regional Director, Kafoa, and Aggie Muaror, and Pastor Sherwin Rulloda, son of the former Philippine Nazarene College president and a Pastor in the USA, encouraged all the participants, as they could personally relate to them. Likewise, all the participants were inspired and could identify themselves with the moving testimonies of the selected Pastors’ Kids.
The Pastors’ Kids (PK) webinar delved into the unique experiences of Pastors’ Kids, shedding light on the struggles and privileges of growing up in ministry families. The discussion highlighted the challenges these children often face, such as the pressure of expectations, identity struggles, and the emotional weight of witnessing the ups and downs of ministry life. Despite these difficulties, the webinar also celebrated the blessings Pastors’ Kids experience—deep spiritual foundations, opportunities for service, and connections within a faith community that shape their personal growth. The speakers encouraged PKs to embrace their journey with gratitude while prioritizing self-care and authenticity in their faith. Ultimately, the webinar served as a powerful reminder that while the Pastors’ Kids experience is complex, it is also filled with opportunities for growing our faith, resilience, purpose, and meaningful relationships.
The Pastors’ Kids (PK) webinar provided valuable insights into the unique journey of Pastors’ Kids. As they move forward with faith and purpose, may they find support from their community and fully embrace the opportunities for personal growth and a deeper sense of purpose in their journey.
