Asia-Pacific Region in Direct Path of Multiple Storms!

by | Jul 3, 2015

Asia-Pacific Region:  All eyes are on the Pacific as four storms are developing and moving westward.  With the Micronesian Islands still recovering from April’s  Super Typhoon Maysak, the threat of more damage from tropical storms and typhoons is definitely a major concern.

20150703 TS Chan-homTropical storm Chan-hom is currently located approximately 300 miles (482 km) southeast of Guam, and is forecast to once again regain typhoon strength over the weekend.  The National Weather Service has issued a typhoon watch for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan, meaning typhoon conditions – winds of 74 mph or more – are possible within 48 hours.
