GAPYEONG, SOUTH KOREA — From 19–21 January 2026, approximately 60 pastors’ children (PKs) gathered for the Nazarene Pastors’ Kids Camp at Elheyum Garden in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The three-day, two-night event celebrated the camp’s 20th anniversary under the theme “Grace.”
Participants ranged from elementary students to young adults and took part in a variety of activities, including worship services, teaching sessions, group discussions, and recreational fellowship. The camp created space for connection and reflection among PKs from different churches and age groups.
The program focused on faith formation and the shared experiences of pastors’ children. Many of the speakers and ministry staff were PKs themselves, allowing them to speak from personal experience about the unique opportunities and challenges of growing up in families with pastors as their parents. Messages and testimonies addressed topics such as identity, expectations, and personal spiritual growth.
Organizers intentionally designed the program to encourage interaction across age groups. Rather than separating participants strictly by age, several sessions and activities promoted shared learning and community-building among all attendees.
The camp was coordinated through collaboration among pastors and young ministry leaders and was led by Pastor Im Yi-rang of Cheonan Seongmun Church, who oversees PK ministry. Worship gatherings, small group sessions, and recreational activities were held throughout the event.
A special highlight of the anniversary celebration was the presentation of a plaque of appreciation to Rev. John Eun-Yup Kim, who founded the Nazarene PK Camp 20 years ago.
The annual PK Camp continues to provide a meaningful space for pastors’ children in the Church of the Nazarene in Korea District to build relationships, reflect on their faith, and grow together in community.
