On 18 October 2025, young people from across the East Asia and Southeast Asia Fields of the Church of the Nazarene came together for an inspiring Online NYI Fellowship. The fellowship opened with joyful songs of praise and a heartfelt prayer led by Sister Joy Ruan, followed by a stirring devotion from Rev. Sharon B. Latu, who urged the youth to live out their faith boldly and authentically. Rev. Terence Lustaña then delivered a dynamic session on Digital Evangelism, challenging participants to use social media as a modern-day mission field. His message reminded everyone that the Gospel can reach even the farthest corners of the world with a single click.
Thoughtfully designed to blend fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism, the program was coordinated by East Asia Field NYI Coordinator Joy Ruan and Southeast Asia Field NYI Coordinator Sirinart Phaisanthara. A dedicated team of hosts, translators, and media volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, providing real-time translation in Mandarin, Thai, Burmese, Vietnamese, and Japanese so every participant could engage fully.
Youth from Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, CAA 3, and CAA 10 joined the event, connecting in breakout sessions to share testimonies and stories of faith. Many spoke of newfound courage to witness online and gratitude for meeting brothers and sisters from different nations who share the same passion for Christ.
For Sirinart Phaisanthara, the experience was deeply meaningful: “It was a blessed time to see young people gathering and fellowshipping together. The messages were both encouraging and challenging, reminding me of the importance of empowering youth to be witnesses for Christ in their everyday online spaces.”
Joy Ruan echoed this joy of collaboration, reflecting, “It was my first time co-hosting an online fellowship with another field, and it felt new and exciting. Seeing youth from all over Asia worship and love God passionately together was truly inspiring!”
A total of 47 participants, including leaders, speakers, and youth from both fields, joined the online fellowship. The event was a powerful reminder that God is at work among young people in East and Southeast Asia. To Him be all the glory!
