Gas Explosion at Pines City Church of the Nazarene, Baguio City, Philippines

by | Jun 20, 2016

Baguio City, Philippines:  Around 1:30pm local Philippine time, a gas explosion was reported at the Pines City Church of the Nazarene, in Baguio City, northern Philippines.

Baguio CityOne worker “Frank” received extensive burns and has been hospitalized.  Please commit to pray for Frank’s healing and complete recovery.   There is simultaneously a praise, as one of the church members who was pregnant had just exited the room when the explosion occurred and she was unhurt.

IMG_0527Initial reports indicate that there was possibly a gas leak from a propane bottle emitting fumes and when a worker lit the stove in the kitchen, the fumes ignited.

“It was like a grenade went off in the church,” said one of the members. “The ceiling came down, windows and doors were blown out.”

Please commit to pray for Frank and the rest of the church family at Pines City Church of the Nazarene.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
