From September 30 to October 3, 2025, the Indonesian Nazarene Theological College (INTC), in collaboration with Sealands Field Office, hosted an Education Forum attended by the District Superintendents, members of the Indonesia Nazarene Theological College (INTC) Board of Trustees, INTC staff and faculty, the Field Strategy Coordinator, and Field Ministry Coordinators.
The forum aimed to develop a shared understanding of the essential role of both formal and informal education in the foundation of church growth and leadership development. Together, participants discussed how to best prepare and equip everyone whom God calls into His mission.
The discussions focused on six main objectives: improving the training of pastors and leaders through both campus-based and regional programs; ensuring the effective delivery and quality control of the Nazarene Study Program; clarifying the PNUP standards and requirements while encouraging collaboration between the field and regional leaders; providing governance training for the Board of Trustees; holding an Advisory Board working meeting; and equipping new and existing board members to better understand and carry out their roles.
Participants were also invited to tour the INTC campus, where they viewed its facilities and explored possibilities for future development. The atmosphere throughout the forum was filled with purpose and unity. Every educational stakeholder in the Field Sealands area contributed to meaningful dialogue aimed at improving the quality of pastoral and lay leadership—future servants of God equipped to be sent into His harvest field with strong educational and spiritual foundations.
Febi Ardhiyani, Chair of the INTC Board of Trustees, expressed her gratitude for the event:
“I am very grateful that this meeting was able to take place. With the presence of all district superintendents from Indonesia and Timor-Leste, as well as the entire board, it was truly an extraordinary opportunity. Praise God for the matters discussed, which would have been difficult to accomplish without meeting in person. Much information and understanding were shared, especially regarding the PNUP course of study. We still have much work to do, but I am confident that all of this will bring positive results for INTC and the wider ministry of the Church of the Nazarene.”
The Education Forum served as an inspiring reminder that the future of the Church depends on the faithful preparation of its leaders. As the Sealands Field continues to grow, the Church of the Nazarene envisions a new generation of clergy and laity—equipped, empowered, and ready to serve—making Christlike disciples among the nations.
