Kansas City, Missouri | 16–20 January, 2026 — Pastor Christine T. Mosuela, Regional NMI Coordinator for the Asia-Pacific Region, represented the region at the recently concluded Regional NMI Meeting held January 16–18 in Kansas City, Missouri. The annual gathering brought together Regional NMI Coordinators from across the globe to share reports, celebrate milestones, and address challenges in fulfilling the mission of making Christ-like disciples in the nations through the five areas of impact of Nazarene Missions International (NMI).
In her report, Pastor Christine highlighted both the accomplishments and ongoing challenges of the Asia-Pacific Region, emphasizing the vital role of prayer as the lifeline of the region’s ministry. A major highlight was the Asia-Pacific Region’s leadership of the Prayer Task Force under her guidance. The region continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to prayer through initiatives such as Early Morning Prayer Time and the Prayer Chain, and through consistent participation in the Global Week of Prayer over the past five years. Each year, the region actively participates from the opening day of the prayer guide through its final prayer focus.
Beyond formal sessions, the meeting also offered Pastor Christine the opportunity to personally reconnect with fellow Regional NMI Coordinators from the five regions, renewing friendships and strengthening collaboration. These relationships continue to be nurtured through monthly Zoom meetings, fostering mutual encouragement and the sharing of best practices. The annual gathering serves as a vital platform for benchmarking ministry efforts and learning from one another.
Hearing the reports from each Regional NMI Coordinator proved deeply encouraging, as participants witnessed the hand of the Lord moving powerfully in every region represented.
Following the Regional NMI Meeting, Pastor Christine presided over the Global NMI Council in her capacity as Global NMI President. The Council meets annually and is composed of Global NMI Representatives from the six world regions. She was joined at the meeting by Erna L. Reyes, Asia Pacific Global NMI Coordinator.
The Global NMI Convention marked a significant milestone as the first in-person gathering of the Global Council since its election in 2023. Reports from the regions and various task forces served as compelling testimonies of God’s faithfulness and goodness at work around the world.
During the gathering, the Global NMI Council also had the opportunity to tour the Global Ministry Center. The visit was highlighted by a time of devotion and solemn contemplation at the chapel. Council members expressed joy in seeing firsthand the place often described as where “the sun never sets in the Church of the Nazarene,” a powerful reminder of the church’s global reach. Indeed, the future of the Church is bright, anchored in God’s promise to “give us a hope and a future.”
