La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines: A Work and Witness team from Canada is currently at Philippine Nazarene College (PNC) to help in the construction of the school’s Technology and Vocational Skills Training Center.
This is truly a demonstration of collaborative partnership between many Nazarenes from two different nations.
Nazarene Compassionate Resource Warehouse, in partnership with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) Canada, provided all of the supplies and equipment for the buildings, including packing and shipping of the container.
Nazarene laymen and workers at PNC, worked feverishly at developing the building designs, digging the footings, and by hand, pouring the many yards of concrete for the pads. Once the container shipment had arrived and the concrete was ready, Victoria Church of the Nazarene (Canada) organized a Work and Witness Team to come to the Philippines to put up the structure.
The Technology and Vocational Skills Training Center will facilitate technological and vocational training for students in grades 11 and 12, as well as in the future, ministerial students. This training will empower them to become more effective, self-reliant and employable in the communities where they will end up planting churches and sharing the Gospel. Skills training will include carpentry, plumbing, welding, electrical and housekeeping.

NEW VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING CENTER COMING TO PHILIPPINE NAZARENE COLLEGE!
Rev. Stephen Gualberto, president of the Philippine Nazarene College and Field Strategy Coordinator of the Philippine Micronesia Field, shared updates on the project. According to Gualberto, the team was able to gather all of the materials, supplies and tools in preparation for the construction. They have also now completed erecting the main building. Finishing work is to follow.
Rev. Gualberto praises the Lord at how this project is coming together. He is also requesting prayer, that good weather will continue during the course of the project.
Let’s also pray for the team’s strength and safety. May each member be filled with the Holy Spirit as they carry on their mission. Pray also that this facility will be used to train up young leaders who will be able to effectively communicate the Gospel message to the world in which they live and work.
