The construction of the East Timor Nazarene Missional Training Center in Dili, East Timor is an important step in the development of the Church of the Nazarene in this area. This facility will serve as training center for extension education and missional and pastoral training as well as a worship center for our churches in and around the capital city of Dili. The facilities here will also be used throughout the week for various outreach and community activities including English courses, computer training and compassionate ministry. Phase One, Part One will enable the rock foundations to be laid for the complete building along with the steel structure for the main hall. This includes buying rock, sand, cement and formwork. This requires lots of labour and the youth in the church will have lots of opportunity to exercise their muscles along with teams who might come to help with this part of the building process. Large rocks are laid by hand in the trenches and usually built up to a height of 12? (300mm) ready for the slab. Daily expenses will cost anywhere from $55-$85 depending on the level of accommodation requested. See introductory post for this project for details. Each phase of this project could include a community outreach or compassionate ministry project along with it.
