The construction of the East Timor Nazarene Missional Training Center in Dili, East Timor is an important step in the development of the Church of the Nazarene in this area. This facility will serve as training center for extension education and missional and pastoral training as well as a worship center for our churches in and around the capital city of Dili. The facilities here will also be used throughout the week for various outreach and community activities including English courses, computer training and compassionate ministry. Daily expenses will vary depending on the level of accommodation requested. Very basic accommodations (sleeping on foam mattresses in groups of men and women) will run around $60/day while a simple hotel will push the cost to approximately $85/day. Each of these estimates includes lodging, food, laundry, transportation and sight-seeing. This project has been divided into three phases — Main Hall/Worship Center, a pastors residence and the Training/Education wing. Each team that comes could take part in a community outreach or compassionate ministry project of some kind if desired. Possibilities for such an outreach event greatly depend on the interests and abilities of the team members.
