Manila, Philippines:  Christmas Day is just two days away and so is Tropical Storm “Nock-Ten.”  TS Nock-Ten began developing on December 22nd, and is the 26th named storm for the North West Pacific season.

As of the time of this report, the storm was west-northwest of Yap island in the Federated States of Micronesia with winds of 104 kph gusting to 128 kph (65 to 80 mph).

Computer models forecast Nock-Ten making landfall on the eastern shores of the Central Philippines in the early morning hours of Christmas Day,  tracking directly over the top of the greater Manila area.

The Asia-Pacific World Mission Communications Team will continue to monitor the development of this storm and will provide updates as required.

As you prepare to celebrate Christmas, please commit to pray for those who will be in the path of this late-season tropical storm.  Pray that the storm will not reach severe intensity.
